here at red door, we have a little thing called
EQUIPEGRATION
EQUIPEGRA-HUH?
Let us explain.
We firmly believe that parents are called to be the primary spiritual leaders of their homes.
This comes form a really old vision for what it means to be a family following God. We as parents are called to impress our faith upon the hearts of our children as is written in this scripture:
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
Deuteronomy 6:4-7
So we schmooshed together the two words that define our strategy for spiritual formation in the family. We want to EQUIP parents to be the spiritual leaders of their home & we want to INTEGRATE kids into the mission of the Church. Ergo, EQUIPEGRATION.
