SERVE OUR WORLD

get involved around the world

God is making Himself known to the nations and here you will find some opportunities for how you can get involved! Discover how you can get involved with our partners globally through the 3 main passions we hold- that every child has a home, the broken are made whole and the lost are found.

Marseille, France

Familles en Action serves the Comorian community in Marseille's 3rd district, one of the city's most under-resourced neighborhoods. Founded in 2014, it responds to real struggles there: kids drifting without direction, families under strain, school dropout, the pull of the streets. Neighborhood youth spend an average of eight hours a week there, and parents nearly two and a half. It's not a program they pass through, but a place they belong. The ministry also sits wall to wall with one of Marseille's most fundamentalist mosques, close enough that the team prays over that shared wall for everyone who passes through it.

Red Door partners through short-term teams and prayer support. The next team trip is November 8–15, 2026.

Comoros Islands

Translators are working to bring Scripture into the heart language of the Comorian people, a language spoken by roughly a million people across the islands, still without a complete Bible of its own. It's slow, careful work, and it has to be: in Comoros, Islam is the state religion, leaving Islam is against the law, and Christian literature is banned outright. Believers who follow Jesus there do so at real cost. Most keep the translated portions they do have on their phones rather than in print.

Red Door supports the translation effort financially and in prayer. 19 of 65 books are translated, and this year's giving will add one more. 46 more to go!

Belfast

Andrew Irwin serves North Belfast as curate at St. Paul & St. Barnabas, a parish that sits inside real deprivation. Roughly 4,000 people live within walking distance of the church, where unemployment runs well above the city average and child poverty reaches nearly one in three. The community carries the weight of decades of sectarian conflict. It now navigates a newer, quieter struggle: a culture where people believe without belonging, and church has drifted out of most lives. Andrew is working toward renewal from the inside, in the same place St. Patrick once turned a land of pagans into a land of saints and scholars.

A team will visit Andrew in November, en route to Marseille.

Pakistan

The Good Shepherd Hospital in Kasur, Pakistan, is the answer to a 22-year dream. Its founder, Dr. Saleem Massey, spent decades running mobile medical and eye camps across a district of nearly five million people with no permanent hospital of its own. He treated whoever came, Christian or Muslim, under one motto: "Compassion, Love, and Mercy." What began as a boundary wall and a watchman's house has grown into a hospital serving well over a hundred patients a day.

LOVEGIVES 2026 funding provided protective eyewear for the new clinic; travel plans are being reassessed after delays from the war in Iran. Dr. Saleem will be here Sunday, September 6th, speaking at both services, and back the evening of the 9th for a dessert meet-and-greet with Q&A.

Afghanistan

Since the Taliban retook control in 2022, Afghanistan has become the only country in the world where girls are barred from school past sixth grade, roughly 2.2 million and counting. Women have lost the right to most work, to travel without a male chaperone, and in some regions even to reliable internet or phone access. Yet recent surveys show something remarkable: even after years of this, four in ten Afghan women still hold onto hope for a different future.

Red Door partners with a ministry on the ground offering online English classes taught by women, for women, a way to serve globally without leaving home, through prayer, conversation groups, and co-teaching via video chat. New volunteer teachers and conversation partners are needed. Contact Valerie Browne for more information.
